Over the years the KCCSC has raised funds for various Kent Cricket projects. In 2000 it was decided to raise money to support junior cricket in the county. To this end the 50/50 Club was established, initially with a view to selling 100 shares at a cost of £12 per share. In 2025 there were nearly 200 members. Since the 50/50’s inception, more than £44,000 has been donated.
The competition is currently our biggest fund raiser and we are always looking to attract new members. You can now buy shares for £12 each per year. Half the money is paid out in prizes and the other half, less expenses, goes to support the Kent Cricket Academy.
Until now, four draws have been made during the year, with six prizes per draw. While the four draws remain, the system has been restructured so that there are five prizes, with a top prize of £100. The draws are normally made at the Stakeholder Day, the autumn committee meeting and the Christmas Lunch. Applications are open from November to 31 March each year.
